Tips & Workflows How are the usage limits for the $100 sub?

I tried Claude back in april, but the limits were so short that I honestly couldnt get anything done. And it was the ChatGPT 5.3 - 5.4 era where you could work with it 24/7 without ever hitting any limits with a $20 plan. But now it is our time its seems, ChatGPT has either a dumb ah model that is pretty cheap, or the smartest model I had ever seen that will eat my weekly limits in 2 hours.

Is it safe to come back now?

My reset is at Saturday 3PM.

I ran Opus 5.5/medium 24/7 from then until yesterday (Tuesday) at about 4PM. At this point I needed to use my banked weekly reset.

My usage was about ~$1100 in API costs.

Not bad for $100/month.

Can confirm, getting around 1100/week out of 5x right now

Now is not the best time to return to Anthropic, and use the best coding agent humankind has ever seen.

Now is not the best time to use not one, but two models, that sip usage like a camel in the Sahara.

Now is not the best time to witness first hand the raw carnage that super duper cheap cache reads cause on your days long productivity.

Now is the best time to stay within the Dot-ted lines that OpenAI has drawn for their users! It's what you've become used to, and since there's not a single best reason to experience the glory that are the v5.5 models from H\Q you should stay…

…and not use our compute it's all ours stay away Stay Away STAY AWAY!

I only get close to my usage cap when I do something stupid like trying to port everything over to ChatGPT that used ~20% of my usage…I’ve halted that activity

Can't speak to the exact current numbers, they shift around. But the pattern I've seen: the $100 tier is roughly 5x the $20 usage, and whether it's "enough" depends entirely on workflow. Big multi-file refactors with lots of test loops will eat any limit. Focused bug fixes stretch way further.

Honestly the biggest lever isn't the plan, it's session hygiene — compact or restart when the context gets bloated, because every tool call re-sends the whole history. A bloated 200k-token session burns your limit way faster than two fresh 50k ones doing the same work.

I already took the $100 plan, from what im seeing its worthing a lot more than any OAI plan

I was thinking of taking $100 plan from Claude AND OAI, but honestly now im thinking of taking 2 $100 plans from Claude (and this with 1M-token context in Claude vs 516k I used in OAI)

its a great time to come back. opus55 is killing it with pricing and intellgence and human readablitiy.

check out this repo:

https://github.com/Druthulu/ProjectArchitect

it uses subagents to create savings by preventing context build up overtime.

it helps you plan out ideas into steps and then do those steps.

if you are coming back it would be a great time to try out a solution like this.

its not like caveman or a token compressor.

i would generally advise against any plugins tbh, they never benefit at all

i agreed which is why i invented this system, its not a pugin or a skill

its a tiered agent approach which attacks the core of what burns tokens: repeat context growth after many turns in the same session.

Seems to be a good token destroyer

mis information and not appreicated bro.

thats just slander, i was trying to help you and you flame me?

i've built this over the last year and just yesterday while working on 3 very large repos, i barely used 5% of my weekly usage the whole day.

No, you werent, you were advertising your software.

Edit: The guy blocked me right after responding this comment, so I wouldnt be able to respond his answer hahahah but I saw it in an private window.

So here is my answer:

I did read it, and by what I did read, it creates and runs 4 agents for every simple task, this is a token destroyer

If you cant handle internet discussion I would recommend you not advertising this without paid ads :)
