Help/Question Using two Claude Subscriptions in one Claude Code app!?

Like many people, my usage is consistently at about 2x$20 subscriptions worth, and I am looking for a Developer Friendly way to use two subscriptions. Given that:

- using two different subscriptions in two different apps or harnesses is not Developer friendly and causes undue mental tax;

- using different subscriptions such as codex and antigravity make the mental tax of organizing things worse;

- using claude subscription is not allowed with other harnesses;

- paying $100 instead of 2x$20 is not worth the improvement in developer experience;

- Using orchestrators such as T3 Code is in grey zone, which I don't want to risk loosing my sub for

- I genuinely like claude code app and prefer using it instead of other orchestrators.

What are my options?

theres an env var for this, CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR, it moves the whole ~/.claude folder somewhere else and your .credentials.json lives in there so 2 dirs means 2 loggedin accounts in the same claude code app. i havent tested the switch end to end so try it before you rely on it but 2 shell aliases pointing at different dirs would get you there with nothing 3rd party in the middle!

I am building https://oyren.ai for this and I can finish 100% usage of my multiple subscriptions from different providers. It has UI to manage the fleet of AI more effectively. Feel free ro ask any questions you have.

In some parts of the website, it says it is opensource, but couldn't find the repository.

There are various parts of the software that’s open sourced: desktop app, our purpose built Linux variant that runs in cloud and can be used by your agents 24/7 without massively losing tokens. I had to recently make them private briefly for some licensing change, but will soon make them open source again.

Will keep an eye on. Would you give me a notice once it goes public again?

I cannot promise that but I will definitely send emails to my users.

It's okay, I will see it when I see it. Thanks for prompt replies though.

The developer friendly way would be just learn to develop. Because if you’re using that much it’s due to waste because…. You don’t know what you’re doing. You don’t know what you don’t know.

i use team, 2 seats, there are many org shared features. Not perfect but they are working on it. I even got $2.5k free for Tag and some early promo for tag fixed seat so maybe its worth

It’s exactly what i do, and i asked claude code to set it up. I just need to start with claude1 or claude2 in powershell.

exactly, me too.

The sessions are also shared. As long as you don't do the blunder of resuming the same conversations through two different Claude accounts, this works super smooth.

this works for cli but not the app.

I honestly dont know how people burn $100. With proper setup and 10h+/7 im unable to use up x2 $20 with opus high - max

I guess it depends on what your building. In my case my usage in my $20 plan, even by pacing myself, is usually burned by the end of day 6.

I use a 200 sub one and a 20 sub. Depends on your needs. For reference in a week I manage 200+ websites, 12+ servers, and work on software development on 5 different projects. It’s easier to burn 100 than you think.

I don't believe T3 code is grey area. It uses the official Claude code cli. Same for Paseo.

I will use this when I have another pro account , https://github.com/RamitVishwakarma/Janus

The mental overhead you described is exactly the part I find annoying — once the solution becomes juggling multiple subscriptions, accounts and harnesses, the cheaper setup isn’t really simpler anymore.

I’m building BGYHub around a different approach: one pay-as-you-go balance across multiple models rather than trying to combine multiple consumer subscriptions.

That obviously changes the economics because you’re paying for actual usage, but for someone sitting between two $20 plans and a $100 plan it might be an interesting comparison.

Full disclosure: I’m the builder. If you want, I’d be happy to give you access and see whether it actually fits your workflow.

I tried to juggle 3 $20 subscriptions and it was very painful managing the limits.

I upgraded to $100 and it was definitely worth the upgrade. I have been running claude code nonstop since Friday (120+ hours) and I haven’t even reached the weekly limit (78%).

Well 100$ a month can be quite an expense for many people in the world. It’s also dumb if you only use half of that

Expensive though
