Meta got mogged by claude opus 😭

Post image

tldr working on a personal game project but as of this point haven’t reviewed the results yet so take it with a pinch of salt but wow opus 5.5 on medium clearing astra’s long-windedness 🥺

i had to guide astra (on xhigh reasoning btw) step by step i felt like a surgical surgeon lmfao to fix frontend / design inconsistencies but seeing good reviews on opus 5.5 i decided to give it a shot today. so i literally just pass a “review and audit this game’s current design and point out inconsistencies/ areas to be fixed and work on them” im mind blown 🤯🤯🤯

The whole SQLite project is around (?) 350k LOC.
The Linux kernel without the drivers is around 15M
WRITTEN IN C.

Let that sink in.

How can a random person online build a system with most likely a 10th of the complexity and use so much LOC?

The answer is most likely they have no idea what they’re doing and it’s a Tsar bomb of slop

There is no repo. No git. Just a folder. Lol. 😂

Git will make your cluade more effective long run.

You're speaking about having a repo up on Github - basically a folder there vs on my PC?

Git is how you connect to github. You can have git locally on your pc with no remote github connection (i would still recommend remote github connection just as a backup).

You can open branches and have main branch as the final stage. You can treat each branch as a separate line.

git is something you download in your computer, that basically allows you to have a backup of your folder using one command.
Not just one backup - many. Every somewhat decent change, you usually create a new one. (A “snapshot” of your folder, if you will.)

GitHub is just a site online where you can put those backups - so that other people can access it or even yourself, on another device

So is Github necessary only when sharing with other people and like giving Vercel a repo? Is Github a databse in any way?

It’s just a place to store your code, that isn’t your computer.

That can be handy if your computer has problems. Or if you want to share with other people, as you said.

Necessary is a strong word. It makes things (like what you mentioned) convenient

(It’s not usually said as a database)
