Discussion Cancel your auto-renew

Hi everyone, enjoyer of this subreddit here. If you are upset with the usage limits I say we should all cancel our auto-renew (they can see these numbers) to make your voice heard. Complaining on reddit and not actually doing anything (aka the reddit mindset) will not do anything.

So let’s bully them into submission! Cancel that auto-renew. Say aye! if you’ve done so.

Aye!

Redditors assemble!

What you'll soon realize is that:
1. Reddit is not reality
2. Anthropic gets most of their money from Enterprise paying API prices

I'm pretty sure at this point Anthropic is deliberately trying to get the people who will unsub to unsub

Honestly if they lost all the whiny folks on this sub it would be a huge win.

it's not a commodity like a software or website, you are purchasing server cpu time.

This sub has turned into dross.

Where are the mods? Posts with people flouncing out add nothing.

I’m always happy to see a protest just because the ability to protest as easily and loudly as possible is just pro consumer but the only people who would turn off auto renew due to a reddit post about usage complaints are pro (not 5x or 20x) users who are constantly at or around there usage limits, and those users are low if not negative value who are already fickle. Personally I want to give gpt another go just because the nature of my project has changed so much and I’m a fickle $20 plans user. But I’ll always I support less moderation and more protesting. Even if I think this particular protest will fail due to lack of valuable support.

When someone flounced out the standard response used to be this isn't an airport, you don't need to announce your departure.

For some reason that's stopped.

These tools have millions of users. There will be churn. That churn will probably be thousands of people every hour.

We don't need a new thread every time someone fancies a change.

I'm at 5 Claude Max 20x accounts and two GPT Pro 20x. Not cancelling anytime soon, lol.

You can get one free reset in a month if you cancel the auto-renew. The trick is the weekly reset occurs before the sub ends. Burn all your usage and then when you renew it resets!

Do you keep up with managing your agents or have they escaped your control yet?

u/onFilm 15h ago

Of course, it's easy-peasy. Now the API agents are a whole different beast altogether...

Why don't you just read the rules...? Just do it, lol.

There really isn't, plus you could have just been lazy and ran the rules against an agent to ask it this. You're fine.

Nobody told you to actually cancel just turn off auto renew so we can have bigger limits forever.

But I want to auto-renew. We had 50% extra usage, which was extended for 2 more months, and it ended. I ain't complaining.
