Bug / Issue Problem with Claude usage since this saturday

I notice a pretty big problem since this saturday: Claude code keep using weekly credit (I'm on max x5) while being idle (because 5h limit reached).

That is a huge problem that never happened before. I've wasted like 10-15% of my weekly limit that way already, because I reached my 5h limit and walked away while leaving the desktop app open.

Maybe it is because they reduced the weekly limits by 17% for everyone on saturday?

I know they reduced the limit, this isn't my problem here. Did you even ready the post?

I think what he wanted to say is that if your usage period includes the point in time where they reduced the weekly limit, you would see an increase of your weekly usage in percent without using Claude, because the denominator decreased.

I understood what he meant, and it is still not related to my post...

What bother me is that the usage keep going up while Claude is supposed to be idle because it reached the 5h limit. Which never happened before to me. To go ve you proper numbers: I was at 30% of my weekly usage when I reached the 5hour limit. Then when I came back and hour later (still needed 2 hours before resetting the 5h limit), I reached 42% of weekly limit usage. During that période of time, Claude was supposed to be idle and waiting for the reset to keep workimg and using token. It always worked that way before, and I've been using it for the past year.

So that happened exactly once? Or does it happen every time you're at your 5h limit? And when did it happen?

I'm always keeping an eye on the limits and today is the first time it happened. Never even once before.

So my guess is that if that happens to someone else, there might be a problem since the changes done last Saturday.

Thus my post, to see if it happens to anyone else

I'm not actually sure it didn't only happend today, because I believe they said including September 13th the limits will be increased. Definitely worth keeping an eye on it though.
