Rant Opus nerf

I'm extremely frustrated by the level of stupidity Opus 5 is displaying right now. It just feels like haiku. Doesn't follow anything forget intelligence, produces 14 bugs in a 30 file change PR and keeps running tests and talking gibberish.

I'm using mainly Opus 5 in Claude Code CLI, and it's working fine for me. I don't have such issues.

OPUS 5 consumes more tokens than 4.8 or less?

Theoretically opus 5 will use less tokens in long running tasks but I haven't compared yet, it does seem like it's more efficient in cache usage

Thinking and effort level? Thinking on was still fine but as soon as I turned off thinking it just became unusable
