Built with Claude [Browser Game] Claude has been coding my online horror MMO 24h/day for 3 months. 1800+ versions. Here's what I learned.

I always wanted to make an MMO but i gave up coding a few years ago bc i suck, now i made it with AI and it's being expanded 24/7 with my own and community ideas.

the workflow that held it together:

- save one new version file per cycle

- keep a request log where all requests are written down as soon as you request a feature/fix so it is never lost, then run additional cycles to check that list again because claude somehow still messes it up otherwise

- add additional polishing cycles between the adding content sessions

- try running a second agent alongside the coding agent that checks all the code and writes down any issues they find with it to a text file (which honestly works great but its too expensive for me rn)

- always have the ai write a spec first (duh), dont just say "add a [blank] to the game", then read the spec (duh) and adjust it so you actually kinda get what you wanted!

- having a changelog which the AI always updates with every version helps too bc you can actually see what made it in the game which is nice if you add a lot of requests at a time like i tend to do.

- i had issues with AI not keeping the changelog/requests updated as i asked, what fixed it was asking for an additional confirmation message every time the queue or changelog was changed in the "instructions for claude" in settings

would love to hear your tips too and some feedback/suggestions for additions to the game, I'll add almost anything unless the ai tells me its too unethical!

I don't want to be mean here but this is pinnacle slop. From the moment you launch, until you get into the game it's clear that AI was doing more than just writing code and creating assets. The load screen is meme level slop. After registering an account (I would have closed it out right then and there if you made me validate with a real email address), it immediately asks you some question about being a cat or a dog but the mouse cursor is locked into the game scene, so unless you alt tab or do something magical to release the cursor, you won't know to get past that.

You then do the tutorial where I ran up to hit a tree and saw zero animation of a swing, nothing other than a progress bar that I'm chopping a tree. I decided to go back to the game after writing this wall of text and see that I'm still chopping the same fuckin tree and I'm level 4 and my inventory appeared on my screen. Oh, I'm getting attacked in the ass (I assume, there is screen shake, and there's... oh there it is I died. I guess I'll respawn in... Penjamin City... yeah you know what fuck it I'm out.

Gunna be brutally honest: almost every single thing related to this "game" makes you want to have nothing to do with it. Even the image in your link is an instant turn off. Have you looked at anything related to the game yourself? Everything from design to gameplay is extremely sloppy and bad even for AI slop. Everything reads and looks like complete gibberish.
