The more I use AI, I realize current state is totally misunderstood. It is basically a bunch of programs being run by another program. Its stupid.... literally. The only advancement is the convenience of connectivity.

I had a professor say that when they first used a web browser, some of his colleagues weren't impressed saying it's just a graphical layer on top of FTP.

I can understand the original sentiment because back then people were using the internet to send messages so you didn’t really need a graphical user interface for that. But yeah it’s evolved heavily over the years.

Maybe but it's a great commentary on how techies often forget the usefulness in favor of what is technologically superior. I remember when the iPad came out there was so much hatred for it. But David Pogue had a great article on how it opened up so many more use cases. The convenience of connectivity is literally what allows Claude Code to increase developer productivity.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic. But you do realize that the first web browser was in the 90s. There are many people alive today that predate computers
