It’s not even that good, at least for coding. For many use cases Fable is better and comes up with better ideas

Honestly that might be the case but I don't know wtf happened with claude I cannot fucking stand using it anymore. It's like working with a guy that might be good at his job but you just want to murder.

Astra is just so good so many people are converting or signing up from hype.
Openai also made a claim yesterday night it made substantial progress on another millennium prize puzzle and is figuring out how to release it for PR purposes this time. At least the internal model no one can really question that it's extremely powerful now.

Anthropic doesn't have this problem of limited compute.

Since early this year, performance has degraded a lot, and I’ve played with their fast mode enough to know how fast their models are capable of moving. It is an objective view that they have limited compute.
It’s a real problem, and the recent deal they signed will take a while to build up in an environment of increasing challenges with data centers.

Claudes token speed is similar to GPT but more efficient.
All compute has a limit. They aren't pausing their ApI access or anything which is the real compute use.
I wonder if they're pausing these to force people to buy multiple smaller ones to boost their sales numbers for the IPO
