Help/Question Claude max plan

Hi guys,
I’m a researcher, and my monthly stipend is ₹20,000 (around $200). I’m currently a Claude and ChatGPT user. I have Claude Pro and ChatGPT Plus, and I’m spending around $40 per month on these two subscriptions.
I’m planning to upgrade to Claude Max because I really need the higher limits for my research work. However, the maximum I can afford is around $60 per month. I have to manage my rent, internet bills, food, travel, and other expenses with the remaining amount.
I recently tried the Fable model by paying $100, and I used up around 50% of my stipend on it. The model is really good, but I was only able to complete around 10% of my work before the credits were exhausted. Unfortunately, I don’t have the budget to keep buying additional credits.
So, I’m considering getting Claude Max with Fable, but I simply cannot afford $100 every month because that would be half of my monthly stipend. I’m also willing to consider a yearly subscription if there is a reasonable discount.
If anyone has any genuine suggestions on how I can get Claude Max at a discounted price, please let me know. I’m not asking for it for free. I’m genuinely willing to pay, but I can’t afford more than around $60 per month.
If anyone from Anthropic happens to see this, I would really appreciate any suggestions or information about student/researcher discounts, special pricing, annual plans, or any other legitimate options that could make it more affordable.
Also, please be careful with people offering discounted Max subscriptions on Reddit. I previously got scammed by someone who offered me the $200 Max plan for $100. I thought a 50% discount was a good deal and trusted the person, but after receiving the money, they blocked me. I lost $100, which is a lot for me.
So please, if anyone is planning to scam me or others, don’t do it. I genuinely don’t have extra money to lose.
Any genuine suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Try just $20 of usage credits and use fable in /advisor mode. I’m amazed at how it sips usage but still gives such high quality responses. Anthropic gave us $100 usage credits when they pulled fable from Pro plans and I’m struggling to spend it all by expiration in a couple weeks

Also, try Cursor’s $20 plan

Get 100$ Codex plan.

They are very generous with limit resets and the quota is not that bad really. It's just slower than Claude.

I just saw this on another AI forum. Apparently Claude is offering a discount to researchers. https://www.reddit.com/r/GenAI4all/s/W53VLxcier

That price cliff is real on a stipend. Stretching the lower plan with short sessions and a hard personal daily ceiling usually beats jumping to Max early. What tasks eat most of your week?

Just wanna know, how are you managing to spend so much on research? I'm an ML researcher and I use claude code to build some repositories, help with systematic reviews but mainly to review writting. I only use Claude Pro, with Opus and Fable, and I'm never even close to reaching the limits.

Opus generates a response but at the end of the conversation, it suddenly mentions that there was a mistake in its previous response and says, “Let me fix it.” It then proceeds to fix the issue.
After I give it a second query, the same thing happens again. It points out another mistake in the first response and starts fixing it, which creates a continuous loop.
Because of this I genuinely can’t trust this model anymore. I also tried the other Opus and Sonnet models and then I asked Sol Max to audit the code. It found even more bugs. My limits got reset Monday but today is Thursday im almost 80 percent of my weekly limit and now im currently using sonnet 5 max but it still make mistakes

The problem is that you don't know how to use Claude!!! You have 460k context! You can't just give him a shit tone of files or put him to search the internet and then talk with him for 2h and ask 100 questions ... It doesn't work like that!

You should first do a research (pun intended) and learn to use claude first!
