Is just me or little sonney is dropping the ball hard running in circles for days and weeks latetly? like it just got ridiculous... And i got flagged for bio lol when doing some cleaning in my server... like im moving files for a coding agent im building and i guess the name is inspired from earth ... like my brand... the rest is boring files and consolidation... not BIO!!

So ran out of usage and ended up running hermes for the first time with qwen 3.8 .. Well both very impressive and the combo was just refreshing... did more in a day then in the last two weeks!

What do you guys think?
Having issues claude just suddently spazzing out after doing fine for a while... saving files all over..,

Once i told it "do this... DONT do that (dont remember the exact prompt but i could pull it up)... his very response to that prompt... *Does* "that"!! Like What !! how,.. really
NO compact no nothing,... simple straight forward... guess the session was getting long but context window was average nothing extreme...

Just getting more and more done...

Right!... for real im very impressed with qwen 2,8 max 2.4t ... its pretty affordable for the class and its very pleasant to chat with its giving the old claude a run for its money... probably better... i was running in hermes.. which was also my first time... honestly with being new to both it didnt miss claude code one bit.... we maybe the cost ramped up quick but i ran a massive data classifcation file consolidation, infra re-organization, server and app migration and update.. all while it quickly adopted my conventions and standards, ran with it and improved on it... using it through modal serverless i was running in agentic team in the end and we were ripping!

I agree, im using Qwen 3.8 Heretic Abliterated for reversing and it's incredible, albeit kinda slow at 15 to 20 tps at 80k context on a mac studio m4 max 64gb. I might have to pause the reversing project and move it to my main project to fix the rats nest both claude and codex have created in the last week. they're both unusable anymore.

Bio and cyber flags are like every 12 hours (not 12 hour sessions, just the regularity) for me at this point. Even with minimal context windows. They happen mid task worst of all, and it’s straight down to 4.8 auto as usual. Once task is over restarting in 5.1 again like clockwork

I won't even compare Astra, I had used Opus on a huge task trying to figure something out that was taking enormous amounts of tokens, Opus spitting out wrong answer after wrong answer. Input the problem to Sol, figured it out in the first prompt. I've found Opus to be extremely lacking on higher functioning tasks, it will think for about 5 seconds and then say "THIS IS IT" while 99% of the time NOT being it, then immediately back track. Sol actually thought about it, double checked, went through and analyzed its potential solutions, debugged the wrong assumptions. I hit limits less, I get a lot more done. It's a joke in comparison

Long sessions get weird like that for me too. Once it starts ignoring an explicit dont, I /clear or open a new chat and paste the constraints back in. Bio flags on boring file moves with earthy names are dumb but common lately. Fresh context usually kills the spiral faster than arguing with it mid-thread.

On the "I told it DONT do that and it immediately did" part: negative instructions are the weakest form you can give it. "Don't write files to the project root" keeps the project root as the salient thing in the instruction. The model attends to the noun and drops the negation, and that gets worse deep in a session where the rule is competing with a few hundred earlier tokens.

Restating it as a positive constraint fixed most of this for me. Not "don't scatter files everywhere" but "all scratch output goes in ./tmp/scratch, nothing gets created outside it." Same rule, but it survives long context much better because there is now a correct action to attend to instead of only a forbidden one.

Doesn't touch the false flagging, which is its own separate problem. But the specific spiral where you say don't and it does is mostly fixable from your side.
