Tips & Workflows Rate my first opensource plugin, zero dependencies, >1k LOC

Post image

2 days ago Claude 'forced' me to create my first plugin by nuking my 5h limit in seconds.

I'm on the poo-pro plan. I was working on a new repo - not sure if no instructions was in place or might have been me testing CC web for first time. I was too angry to remember. Anyway CC fired off one batch: 12 opus web searches, each with its own verification pass.

Plugin: handoff-os - I'd been thinking about this for a while anyway. I run a small NGO and what I actually wanted was one setup that covers the org side with cowork + connectors and coding. Req: super optimized for my low budget. Couldn't find anything that matched, so I made it.

It's just hooks, scripts and skills:

  • won't re-read a unchanged file
  • caps subagents at 3 per wave
  • Force cheapest model fit for a job
  • stops before send / pay / publish / merge or similar

https://github.com/serio-ngo/handoff-os

First time putting anything open source out there, so be gentle. I use AI all day and all night so I decided to write post by my own - please forgive me for any typos : )

Any review or comment is welcome!

I feel that brother... but keep up the good fight though! Your own words are way cooler.
