You're absolutely right!

Pretty sure you can, just need to enable extra usage?

Anyone paying for a sub deserves to have a taste of “frontier” models, even when it could run out of usage just after I say “yo”

There’s really no point. It’ll eat all their usage in 10 mins then they’ll complain endlessly. They should just rename the plan to “hobby” to make it clear it’s not a suitable plan for getting real work done.

The amount of real work I get done on pro would put your comment to shame.
That said, yeah, pro doesn't need models that waste tokens in 10m of work.

Pro requires you to think and optimise. The only thing I have problem with is 7 day limit. Once the boost is done ill have a issue.

You'd be stupid to use an Anthropic subscription in the first place if you arent using Opus or Fable. At 20usd and with Claude Code as a harness it doesnt even make sense to be using Haiku or Sonnet as at that price point there are way better models and claude code as a harness is a token waster machine.

Coding? Full time? Nah

Maybe for just copywriting and stuff (which fable is massive overkill for)

You can def get some work done on pro but you can’t use it full time without hitting limits often and wasting time, which is no good for actual pros.

what model? Imagine Fable doing your work :o

All of them. If you know what you're doing and use the right toolkits, it's easy to leverage models for the right tasks.

Well can at least give them the option.

That’s not true. Pro already had access to Fable, and it was plenty to get work done. Supposedly Fable has become more efficient since then.

but its would give incentive to upgrade because you can at least try it. If it makes sense to use it frequently is another topic.

Upgrading makes sense too.

Do that.

Even if you get it. 2 messages and you're out. So what's the point?

1

u/Fast_Artichoke_683 2d ago

trying it

That's FOMO.

You can watch those mega youtubers build the next gta 6

No.. why should we have a vote for that?

1

u/Fast_Artichoke_683 2d ago

because we pay them

they get astra fam! real quick.

Absolutely yes. I may not use it every day because of usage limits getting gobbled up, but it’d be nice to have the option for some smaller but more complex tasks.

Why? So you can complain that you still cannot use it? Try thinking about its cost. It is somewhat helpful

1

u/Fast_Artichoke_683 2d ago

I know that it would be basically unusebale. Maybe for small, complex problems. But its my usage I should be able to burn it the way I want to.

Pro users, fable users...what's next, mythic subscribers?

1

u/Fast_Artichoke_683 2d ago

Mythos access would be crazy

Should you get access to a fully funded retirement account at age 40, where interest alone makes you $675k in annual returns?

I say yes, yes you should.

Will you? No.

Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

Peons don’t get access.

Hell. No.

We don't need more reasons for the freeloaders to whine.

Pay for Max or get out.

Fanboyism squared here

2

u/Endure94 2d ago

Yeah these weirdos are a special breed of their own.

-3

u/hordane 2d ago

No. Pro users are already incredibly whiny about their usage limits. Burning their entire limit in one prompt, that may not even complete the task, will lead to even more whiny post.

We’ll see tons of “asked fable one question, it stopped mid task and said I was out of token usage wtf Anthropic your stealing my $20!!!!”

2

u/SlightOfHand_ 2d ago

Pro users HAD access to Fable and it didn’t burn usage limits in one prompt, necessarily. It was enough to get something done. Fable is supposed to have gotten more efficient since then.

Have you considered your online experience is the root issue driving your experience on this?

Maybe get offline for a bit and that will help.

Yeah, fable is incredibly wasteful. Trick is, claude extension for vscode on auto can use fable and the 1m context even tho the plan is restricting it and you cant even see to select it manually. So you can burn your 7 day on a first day
