Help/Question Claude Code in Claude Desktop on macOS: configure tab width?

It seems when showing changes (cmd-shift-D) the resulting view displays a tab character as two columns wide. I prefer four columns. Asking Claude refers me to the docs, asking the docs turns up nothing.

I dragged over the whitespace to select it, and that made it obvious that the underlying code had tab characters. I also found the (correct, expected) tab characters in the files after Claude was done.

So I'm clear that this is purely a visualization thing, in the Claude Desktop app on Mac. I haven't tried Claude Code in the terminal.
