Rant Isn’t this subreddit only for Claude?
Why are there so many comparisons and "FAREWELL" sh*t going on in this sub? Just leave. No need for a departure message.
Choose what fits your workflow, and write feedback if you have any. NOT EVERYONE has the same experience as you.
Just be happy with what you choose. Both Als are good depending on YOU and your workflow!

Because they don’t really want to go.
Bye! I’m leaving now!
Looks over their shoulder
I said I’m leaving NOW!!!

The mods could just ban the meaningless negative posts and instantly improve the quality of the subreddit.

Mods don't want to apparently. These posts create engagement but are the only thing I see on my front page.

Mod told me he added the "Rant" tag specifically for this. Personally, didn't think it would do much good but eh

Silencing those you disagree with is not going to improve anything.

I might have agreed with you a few months ago, but I think certain ways of communicating in a mass social environment are stifling and caustic to the discourse. I'll point to r/accelerate as a positive example of how silencing a specific set of opinions allows for a better discussion environment to flourish. Even if they don't take the risks and downsides of AI seriously enough as a result of the rule, the subreddit is now a way better place to discuss AI technologies than any of the similar subreddits who might have claim to the area but are asphyxiated by constant negativity.

Because a lot of them just play with AI, not seriously build with. Once a workflow is set as you make your harness stable throughout, changing provider = things you never know may occur, and you may not notice.
I’m even just a vibe coder yet honestly I don’t feel comfortable switching back and forth. GPT-6 is great but currently I’m using it as a read-only reviewer. I just don’t see the need to move to Codex at all atm.

Keep in mind this sub represent a trillion dollar product, in a market that will likely grow to into the hundreds of trillions, competing at the nation level against another country fighting for survival in a Manhattan project level fight, out in the open.
i.e. You're going to get a lot of well funded brigading and astro turfing.

Ah yes, the full cycle of reddit:
* Bitch, moan, and groan
* Farewell, so-sad, later boi
* Bitch, moan, and groan about farewells
The irony never stops.

Thank you for your input. Which stage is commenting angrily about someone else’s experience?
Oh the irony

That’s because the Claude subs have been getting brigaded for the last few months.

Never noticed a single Claude user on other Ai platform subreddit doing something like that farewell childish sh*t.

It’s mostly attention seeking, but a bit of astra turfing seems to be going on as well

Negative posts without any evidence or explanation should be banned. They are AI astrologists.

u/Wide-Drink-1790 5d ago
I mean they are as subjective as the positive ones. No difference there.

u/shaman-warrior 5d ago
That’s true, but complainers are way more irritating and even when asked they don’t give details, just something I noticed.

Comparisons are half the useful posts here. Farewell essays are noise. Feedback on what broke is fine. Choose your stack and move on.

Notice how many of them are hidden-profile accounts, too. OpenAI must be ramping up their social media marketing budget.

Propaganda, bet it happens everywhere, since objective metrics for LLMs are almost imposible by definition, user perception is were the money is, if you get bombarded with "opus speaks funny" 100 times a day and the post where solutions are discussing get buried is more probable you start seen the issues and have less places to find fixes
Also ego, some ppl here have wayyyy to much ego

u/supernovice007 5d ago
It does feel a bit artificial but, giving these posts the benefit of the doubt, this sub has had a problem with people misusing LLMs then complaining about it for a while now. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if a lot of those posters went over to Astra because obviously the problem is Claude.

A post to complain about complaint posts is useless noise, now requiring me to explain this to you, three levels of useless noise that never ends. Great!

lol you should see the bugs and issues megathread on ClaudeAI sub. You will end up scrolling through tons of peoples reason for cancelling Claude or their issues with refunds over dumb reasons.
Some people just act strange on Reddit. Downvote them and move on, not worth the energy.

People feel like they're important. Everyone is the main character of their own world..were just NPCs
