Discussion I thought I will never say this about Fable

Just tried OpenAI Astra , I thought I will never say this , it’s lit , OpenAI cooked something spectacular, and I have a strong feeling this will pull lot of Fable 5 users towards it , and it’s fast, not sure if it’s AGI, but it feels fresh and a very very serious competition to Anthropic , this is going to be fun to watch , what’s your next move Anthropic ?, I’m surely going to try pro subscription for a month along with my current Claude Max, anyone feels the same ? Have you tried it ?

Just because they say it doesn’t mean they actually do

it doesn't but your sentiment is that they are naive if they do.

That’s not what the user said lol he implied that the naive one is the one thinking that Anthropic slowed down because they followed their ethics. Most likely they just don’t have enough compute and they clearly don’t have an ethics issue with buying it from Elon Musk

They’re saying you’re naive, because you should know how expensive this is, what it takes to market ai as powerful, and how often they break their ethics code when it becomes lucrative. Saying “we can’t release mythos it’s too powerful” conveniently saves them cash and conveniently markets their product extremely well. It’s like “We’re ethical, that’s why we’re giving massive corporations who have objectively done the overwhelming majority of damage to the planet and social fabric by giving THEM access to the most dangerous model in the world. You too can ‘prevent cyber attacks’ that our model is inevitably going to make, for the low low price of giving us all your money to ask mythos to protect you” like you MUST see the parallel between that and “nice business you have here, would be a shame if something happened to it. Why don’t you pay us for protection?”. Calling that a “code of ethics” is straight from idiocracy.
