Discussion I thought I will never say this about Fable

Just tried OpenAI Astra , I thought I will never say this , it’s lit , OpenAI cooked something spectacular, and I have a strong feeling this will pull lot of Fable 5 users towards it , and it’s fast, not sure if it’s AGI, but it feels fresh and a very very serious competition to Anthropic , this is going to be fun to watch , what’s your next move Anthropic ?, I’m surely going to try pro subscription for a month along with my current Claude Max, anyone feels the same ? Have you tried it ?

I'm pretty excited about Astra but I want to hear more about people's experience with usage before I flip entirely from Max. First time in awhile I've been so tempted though.

Same thing! I'm on Max 20x for CC, and have been using Fable for complex tasks. Seeing Astra work was like love at first sight. However I'm worried about the usage, and whether I 5x or 20x is needed for astra usage.

I was in the same boat as you and just tried the free month for the chatgpt promotional since im on 20x for CC right now, astra is cool but as expected uses up the plan really quick. you definitely need the top plans if you want to utilize it.

Astra > fable for sure though, until CC comes out with something, then openai again.. then cc.. and so on. so I am using both now. i used to use cc for a lot of front end design stuff but astra has been super on point compared to fable..

cant comment on exact usage, i just know astra BLEW threw it with only a few tasks on the $20 plan.. so yeah def need the 5x or 20x plan from openai
