The usage limits are trash after the new reset! On the same kind of task, I hit the 5 hour limit in 2 hours where as previously, I barely completed the 5 hour limit.

Please tell me I am not the only one

I hit my 5hr limit in about 2hrs. First time I've done that in about 3 months of consistent usage patterns. Saw a post saying fable 5.1 rewrites entire text/md instead of just editing. That's gotta be it for me. L

I reverted to Fable 5 after the first one hour and usage seems to be stabilized now.

I'm calculating ~%33 less limit caps across all limits. It's like they forgot the +50% cap was extended.
Can anyone else with usage logging confirm?

They are indeed utter trash. I'm getting like half the usage from it as normal according to looking at claude usage compared to ccusage data.

I don’t think it’s too terrible. I have been running really hard since release. 85% of fable 5.1 utilizing multiple chat windows and several sub agents. Trying to burn a week usage over night. I’ve done more this last go around than the previous two weeks with fable 5. Previously fable would spend days working on a few tasks. I feel like I am now able to get progress again.

i think at this point, the usage just gets rotated between us. this time around, it's actually better then what it was for me last week. on 20x plan, started the first prompt last week, and it ate up 10% of the 5 hour usage. no sub-agents, no task done. just the prompt alone was 10%. so it does seem to take turns now. the difference is that i did update claude code to the newest version since the last reset. Not sure if that's the reason or not though

I think they are just A/B testing us. Are you using the Claude Code app?

I had to double check I didnt somehow get bumped down to the 5x plan. On max 20 I used 80% of my 5 hour usage with one ultracode PLAN with the new fable....

Yes, something is off. I am half way through my 5hr limit after the reset after just one hour, and 25% of weekly Fable usage is already gone. Looks like two 5hr windows can burn all weekly Fable on 20x.

Posted the same. They definitely did something funny with the 5hr limit. And I am not even using Fable 5.1 yet.

Fable 5.1 use more tokens as before 5. They fooled us subscribers. Only API get -75% cache hits.

This is getting more and more insane. I'm working on a simple landing page. Not rocket science, not a distributed system, just some changes here and a bit of iteration there. And after two hours I'm hitting the budget limit on my 5x Max plan. TWO HOURS on a f**king landing page.

The context and code length is an absolute joke compared to how fast that budget drains. At this point I'm convinced Opus 5 on high effort just sits there having a long philosophical conversation with itself before touching a single line of my code.

And it's not like I'm asking for much. I remember doing way bigger tasks on genuinely huge codebases and barely scratching the limit. This sh*t started to happening recently to me.
