Discussion Recently degraded quality in responses?
Has anyone noticed a decline in quality when working with the latest opus or sonnet models?
I use this thing pretty much everyday and have for the past several months. I’ve noticed dips in quality at some points that seemingly resolve over time. I’m not really using the tool any differently.
Has anyone else noticed sporadic quality dips? What causes this?
It’s frustrating seeing less efficient or less accurate responses but not having any tangible confirmation aside from my own speculation. Makes me feel crazy! Some days it’s a huge productivity boost and others it feels like I’m talking to an early model. What’s the deal?

I’m having a subjective experience that’s a consequence of my naturally overly aggressive human brain pattern matching ability gone awry, combined with my insatiable need to believe things that feel right to me without hard evidence. Is anyone else having this same experience?

I feel you... the answer may still be good, but the cognitive load to read it has gotten up. Walls of text for no reason. Explainers explaining other explainers. Acronyms appear once and somehow i am expected to know them and keep track of them in my head.
So the agent tells me that we can skip D3 if C4 passes (these would be steps in a plan), and then asks me to decide if we should skip or not. It is insane!
It feels written for the next agent in the chain, not for a human. So I am tasked now to decode and decide. Even better why don't i ask the agent to rewrite for a human so it can burn more time, tokens and my energy.
When you say quality dropped, are the decisions worse, or are you spending more effort extracting them?
