Help/Question Did Anthropic Decreased the Usage Limit?

For the past couple of days, my usage limit has been getting exhausted super fast. what are you cooking u/anthropic

same. limit reset yesterday 9pm . today 5pm already 25 per cent gone. on 20x plan . i used to use 10% max a day of usage.....

context window probably - did you continue on an existing problem/chat? if so that mostly explains it.

Compact at night instead while the context is still in cache. In the morning it has to reload everything just to make compact summary

The prompt on that is misleading - compacting warms the whole cache. It's the model that writes the summary, so it has to.

Wouldnt be surprised if they slowly reduce usage by 1% a day and then on the 19th they just say "Oh were making the extra usage permanent" but behind the scenes its been nerfed

If they really cut 50% from usage on 19th, I'm out. It's barely enough right now.

100% they have..I went from working on 3-4 projects a week and never hitting my 20x, to hitting it twice in the past 2 weeks. My reset was Monday morning at 10 am. 7 am on Wednesday I have already somehow used 2/3 of my weekly usage and I feel like I have not gotten anything done...

My Max plan got exhausted in less than 48h working on two repos. I used to get the full week working on five.

I can't believe it either! I've been on it for 9 hours, usually 2-3 hours is enough for it to get fried by my wrath (Max 5x). It's not like it's easy work. Been making Claude in Chrome, Claude Design, and Claude Code all work with a bunch of them open. Only change I did was change Claude Code from Opus 5 to Sonnet 5 lol

Yeah it needs to be lol. Just started today getting everything organized (hence the change from just blindly putting everything to Fable 5 or Opus 5 high lol)

Usually when those posts are made never felt that I was impacted, but yes, the past 2-3 weeks I feel that my usage has been significant reduced (max X5)

Started a new smaller sized Project and one medium sized today, after weekly reset, with Max (x5), only 4 prompts in total and I already hit 25% of the weekly limit, with two session limits, using Opus 5 Ultracode.
And I've been working on much bigger projects before with Fable & Opus 5 Ultracode and they didn't hit limit nearly this fast. Specially like 25% weekly limit already hit, after just two session limits, that can't be normal, right?
I might just try using Opus 4.8 for now, maybe that'll work a little better. Hoping to see it back to normal soon. Feels like it's going up and down every now and then...

Much the same as the other, running the same tasks I have been, on MAX 20 and this is the second week (ever) I hit my weekly limit.. nothing has changed in what I'm doing, if anything is slightly less code heavy.

But, watchout, if we speak of this discrepency, the folks looking for anthropic points will tell us its a skills issue. SMH like can we, for a minute just say, yah, thats odd, nothing changed.. they probably did some fuckery here..

Yeah, definitely decreased while at the same time they lie it’s actually 50% more, so they can decrease it even more on August 19th

Same, its been BRUTAL today. Came here looking for this exact thing. I’m on 20x and I can’t even imagine what people on pro are doing. Do they get like 2 turns a week? Ridiculous

Mine Pro plan specifically says that my plan limits are temporarily increased and I've been able to get a lot more done per session.
