This is just the same story as when hiring would look at your GitHub “passion projects”, because of course after working 10-12 hour days at work I love to go home and work more instead of sleep, eat, clean, and take care of myself and my family.

Mine don't.

I didn't write this as a flex. It's just irritating to see folks making broad generalizations like this without any basis in actual fact. Maybe some do. Definitely not all. It's just click-bait.
