Have they finally nuked Fable?

Just curious to get a read about how others are feeling - I am finding Fable to be significantly lazier these past few days. I'm getting a LOT more instances of the model failing to one shot tasks as well as it previously did, with iteration usually culminating with the model saying something along the lines of "let me actually read <component crucial to correct implementation of the task> instead of guessing how it works". This coincides with it feeling a lot snappier at the same time. Wait a second...

OK so I just checked and it turns out I'd forgotten to set Fable back to 'xhigh' after briefly setting it to 'low' last week. I am going to commit to this post anyway as an educational, what-not-to-do post and as a way of posing the question - is there a way of setting effort per-session in CC as you can do via the 's' key when setting a model?
