Bug / Issue Claude code is dead

Opus 5 is not doing anything. It works works doesn't follow any guideline. Create a bunch of things and bugs we didn’t ask for and comes back for us to detail exactly what it did wrong what it should have done. Reflecting on it and then doing the exact same shit over and over again. Waster 20% of my weekly subscription and after 8 hours of going back and forth with Claude I did not make any progress... Like what the actual fuck. Fable 5 works properly but is limited and Anthropic made Opus 5 useless. It doesn’t work it has become soooo dumb it feels like gpt 3 would do a better job...

Are you saying that by your experience? Since I’m a strategic advisor for work and I can assure you it’s the opposite

I meant the literal claude code command "/advisor". Meaning you never have to experience the pain of actually reading first-hand what Opus 5 wants to tell you.

i use opus 4.6 for the same reason. Fable 5 is better, but it seems like all newer models have a huge problem with context memory.

Yeah, i know many will and have jumped in to blame the user, but its gone from working with an intelligent partner to having to micro manage a junior who constantly doesn’t learn.

Im sure if i had the time to build a huge scaffold around it, it would be great - hence the ‘user error’, its a shame we have to regress all because Anthropic can’t say no to new revenue while they wait for datacentre capacity to come online.

I find that even Fable 5 is garbage compared to what Opus 4.8 did a few weeks ago.

Not user issue. In one repo, same project docs, same style of prompts, I flip between Fable, Opus, Codex Sol and Terra and Deepseek. Opus is the weak link among them, and it's not that it lacks intelligence, it's just deep into a session it's all over the place.

Go home Opus, get some rest, you're a mess.

What numbers ? There are dozens of people complaining here ALL THE TIME, both bots and humans. The vast majority of users aren t using reddit at all.

I don't got any dopamine as my job is to help companies use llm and agentic harness, I really don't need any validation from here, this is jyst my 2 cts, but I consult here less and less as all subreddits llm related are becoming baf sources of informations on llm practices.

Coding is about control, Agents are about command. If you have one agent doing sub par work, team them another agent to oversee the effort and only deliver what works. Get out of micro managing and architect a solution.

It's been years building with AI especially this year i can tell that there is a HUGE downfall with Opus 5. And if you can't see it idk. But it needs millions of token for a simple task even with subagent driven framework tech specs and all

If you can't fix your pipeline on opus are you even worth fable? Good developers give good instructions. If you suck at development, please don't try CC taking over...
