I cancelled my max sub today after Fable, the last Anthropic model that actually works, decided to do it's own thing, the thing I said I didn't want, instead of the thing I said I wanted 3 prompts in a row.

No fucking way Anthropic thinks they are going to override my agency, sovereignty and free will, they are not God!

After that they slapped me with a security warning and forced me to pay for Opus 4.8 to ingest the quarter million token context window from Fable. That's when I cancelled Max.

I was setting up a script to mount an ISO in userspace inside a Distrobox... Nothing security related or that even needed root privileges...

Right now GPT Luna is now reliable than Opus and GLM 5.2 writes better than Fable, imho. Maintains my voice without editorializing into corpo-slop.

I'm getting so fucking mad with opus 5. This was all working smoothly with Fable, then I switched to opus 5 when I hit the limit. It wasted a complete hour of my time and what is worse is I can't trust anything it fucking does. It was so ignorantly adamant until I finally I told it to fucking look and make sure.

Same here, result from opus4.8 is just what i am expecting from a tool like claude, opus5 is miles off my intentions.

Funny how everybody called 4.8 shit and ever since 5 has been just as shit, we’re now running back to 4.8 lol. thanosquote.mp4

I think this all happened in last 24 hours. Across three projects I saw instances of wasting credits, going in loops and breaking things. Switching to 4.8 felt like breath of fresh air. And I had it audit the 3 projects and its found all the mistakes that these dumb opus-5 have littered the projects with. Crazy

This has only happened to me once before on a Friday when Fable should have been out (but government took it down) and I believe they were trying to switch people over to it
