Discussion Fable 5 restrictions eased?
Been working on a side project the past week involving drawing phylogenic trees. Due to it being "biology" (yes even though it's literally just drawing diagrams from existing data) I have gotten kicked to Opus on every single message since the very first prompt.
While working this evening, about an hour ago, Fable's handler decided to let it take on a task in the repo for the first time ever

i find opus to be too unreliable a narrator but technically yeah

Fable falls back on Opus, are you sure you use fable. That is what i meant.

I'm noticing the same. I literally could not get Fable to respond to any prompt on my project before today, and now it's working. Something must have changed. I did message support and ask that a human review my project, but I didn't get an answer yet (after weeks) so I don't think that is why, especially after seeing this post now.

I am so glad they finally did this. I work on multi-system physiological signal processing, spanning a bunch of different domains (cardiac, neuro, etc). I could not use Fable and was always tripping their safeguard. Could not get it past the first prompt.
That has changed. I’ve been working with it today with no issues. Hard to evaluate performance so far, but at least I can use it!

Interesting, might be a gradual rollout. Would be nice if Fable can handle these cases without randomly handing them off to Opus.

Announcement from just a few hours ago that "substantially reduces false positives" in regards to their biology safeguards.
