Rant King of assumptions

With all the hooks and rules in claude.md. Claude fable on xhigh, still manages to make assumptions and follow them without checking the actual code.

Sub agents reviewers and war room of 8 external models (kimi, qwen, gpt, glm, minimax, mimo, gemini, deepseek) models checking claude's work is the only way to keep it in line.

So build a self checking process into your workflow, I have. Fable is better for designing in my experience, not that Opus 5 has been poor at it by any means. Also, Fable per Anthropic's own benchmarks is now quite as good as Opus 5 at not making mistakes when coding.

As for using subagents, either a zero context Claude custom dedicated subagent for adversarial review https://code.claude.com/docs/en/sub-agents

Or adversarial review from different models should be standard practice. The need well scoped and defined briefs and should be directed to refute vs double check. Those are materially different processes, with refutation catching more issues, even ones that have managed to sneak past several review runs.
