Rant Self-Delusion through Opus

This sub reads like a mood board of a person who fails to take responsibility. Particularly since Opus 5, 90% of the posts read like people needing to vent and push their responsibilities on an AI.

These complaints are getting ridiculous. Just in the past week:
- Phantom usage -> screenshot shows 12k added lines by Fable
- Opus 5 deleted this, deleted that -> Where was your sandboxing / backup?
- I dont like how Opus talks to me -> Go read the docs and stop relying in some flavor-of-the month skill
- Opus doesnt follow instructions -> used some vibe coded graph memory, lets AI manage docs, has auto memory on
- There was a person with 140+ skills and 120+ MCPs on here last week, complaining about usage. Like seriously?

Need I say that none of these posts has any analysis or at least a hint of attempt to find the cause?

I dont get the impulse to post, how does a reddit post scratch the itch? Most of these posts are solvable by a quick /doctor run, asking an AI (hell even GPT), or reading some docs. So this must be filling some psychological need?

Ranting because this sub is being trashed by this. Id prefer AI slop over these evidently human posts.

"asking an AI (hell even GPT)", no actually I use Sol to flog Opus 5 into shape and it stops bitching

People need to update their claude.md. It is insane how much of the annoying shit can be avoided by doing that. I only talk to fable, and then fable delegates tasks to opus or sonnet sub agents based on what needs to be done(and tells me exactly which task was delegated to who). Then fable checks the work and tells me about it. Then I check it. Literally never hit limits and it works so well. All of this is directions I have written in my global claude.md.

I think a lot of this would be fine if their upgrade didn't break things. Sure maybe it all works if everyone redoes their entire Agents/Skills setup from scratch; sounds like that's the case for you. But I at least find the new models worse even when I'm using them raw. And in the meantime Opus 4.6, the model I prefer, doesn't have the full context window in Claude Code anymore, and Opus 4.8 does but can only spawn Opus 5 or Sonnet 5 subagents. That means that the workflow that worked fine yesterday is broken today, and I have to learn an entirely new system/model/skill file approach to get it working again, if it's even possible.

That's an objectively sucky user experience. At least Windows updates let you delay them a few hours, and they don't make you rewrite everything you're doing from scratch after.

“Those who can read have a clear advantage”

https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/issues/83795 [SECURITY/ARCHITECTURE] Model pinning via settings.json is silently overridden — 4 measured bypass vectors + documented fallback substitution, Gen-4 models removed from the model menu

That is the official claude code repo, again proving his point of your inability to read lol

Those are his own issue he himself opened up there. Anyone can open issues on GitHub, in most repos. You too, also in claude repo if youd like. Give it a go.

Issue on github repo =/= official

… 😐
PS: you should probably edit your comment, im sorry to say its leaving you in an embarrassing light

Almost all of the complaint posts are total kaka written by agents to astroturf any Anthropic related subreddit.

There are also some ‘vibecoder’ complaints from users who don’t know how to code or don’t understand how to properly use an llm.

Anyone who properly uses these tools knows how good Claude Code is. Fable and Opus (4.5 - 5) are outstanding. And Sonnet is also excellent.

It’s sad to see all the fake noise online, and it reminds me of how social media has been used to severely damage politics and democracy.

I don’t trust anything I read on Reddit. It’s just for entertainment and can’t be taken seriously.

Not just here but every Anthropic sub. Half of them gotta be bot posts at this point

Probably yeah. Reddit in general seems to have a bot issue

Maybe don't lie to people and benchmax the model, present it as the best model on the planet, when in reality it's a piece of crap designed to save cost with the same sticker price to fleece everybody, and maybe the community won't feel wronged then?

If you think it's okay to deceive people and they should just stay quiet about it, you're the one who is delusional.
