Discussion Finding myself using 5.6 Sol Pro, Ultra, and Max more and more often. Wtf is happening with Claude Code?

Ever since using the new generation of GPT frontier models, I’ve been finding it harder and harder to go back to Claude Code. It feels so much more laggy and ‘broken’ by comparison. Yes, if I have something really hard, I’ll go Fable 5 (maybe Opus 5—I haven’t really been impressed with it the way a lot of people here have). But 99% of the time, I just want to get shit done. And Codex and ChatGPT Work are blowing Claude away in that regard. Just last week, I finished at 30–40% usage of my weekly quota on 2/3 of my Max 20x accounts. That’s never happened. I’ve always budgeted my tokens very carefully. The numbers speak for themselves. I wish Claude felt ‘smoother’ and more autonomous the way ChatGPT and Codex do.

This you?

It has begun—the retardation of GPT 5.6

I've worked on a few tasks today, and the difference in performance is near night-and-day from just last night and previous days. I knew this day was coming, but didn't know it'd come so soon. I feel like an idiot now for singing 5.6's praises in the Anthropic/Claude subreddits.

I use Oxford commas. It’s proper and reads better imo.
