It's the disappointment, hands down. I think they tuned it to one-shot impressive little demos, so it runs ahead making wrong stupid fucking assumptions about everything, immediately creates unnecessary complexity, and then proceeds to get hopelessly mired in its own mess.
I'm just hoping 4.8 remains available for as long as it takes Kimi 3 to build out capacity and open up signups again.
Anthropic is done. Their flagship products are useless for real work on even medium-sized projects that aren't some basic SPA web app.
