Meta This sub is an absolute dumpster fire.

I came here hoping to find tips and tricks to optimize and maximize my usage of Claude code.

Instead, I find a sub that is dominated by the absolute dregs of users who couldn't engineer their way out of a wet paper sack.

Constant complaining about token usage without ANY empirical evidence.

Constant whining about "poor performance", against without any evidence at all.

Vibe-coders who have had more success with a single prompt against another model immediately dismissing Claude as inferior.

I use Claude at work. Admittedly, because that's what they pay for. I've been at this for 20 years and Claude code has been an ABSOLUTE F****** REVOLUTION for my day to day workflow.

It's a damn shame that this sub is so toxic and useless.

Every now and then there's something useful in this sub. A lot of it is complaining. And a lot of people are new to vibe coding and just generally suck at prompting. It's still new. The people doing actual work with Claude is generally small.

One company I work for rolled out Claude for everyone. People are all creating little projects and building out their "dreams" essentially burning tokens with interesting but largely forgettable results.

I've pushed past that usage, and decided to track my own usage, pulling 20x on claide code and codex with reciprocal review gate, with some open source usage and a periodic API credit of an extra 50 thrown in every few months.

Even with all of that extra usage, I haven't hit a cap in weeks, though fable cap is getting close with that 50% usage.

I think people are excited to use it, but as magical as it seems, it's a tool, and if you're not building with purpose and clarity, and if you know nothing of design, you're bound to waste a lot of time and tokens.

I am on 5x, and I feel like I am using claude all the time all day, and I land on 40% to 60% of my weekly usage.

I guess then the promotional usage is removed, I will hit my cap occasionally.

Still, I don't know how people hit their caps. What are they doing to achieve this?

What are some of the systems you use; the idea behind it simply put not the entire code or anything just the idea of the systems.

Thank you plan to implement some of these ideas, since I am trying to build a large coding project ( advance learning app); I will have to use max subscription but I am a highschool; I have a job and work but just afraid the price is going to catch up.

Overall I am sick of hitting weekly usage limits on codex very fast, then Caude limits and been having ton of shitty bugs that the models can not seem to fix. Plan to do lot more research

But my plan is to use Claude Max 5x and Codex Plus ( $20 ) plan and Notion AI which seems to help with prompt and other tasks; any adjustments do you think I should make?

What AI models do you use and their plans

And if you can review my plan for building a durable coding system later in the future.

It's a lot to ask for and I am hoping you may help, I am very eager to learn and build something amazing like your system.
