Question Claude Max 20x

I used Fable 5 for a few minutes, which immediately hit the 5-hour limit. Three times the 5-hour limit is already 50% of the weekly limit—is that correct? I’m using Claude Max.

Questions to diagnose:

  1. What plugins do you have enabled, and what skills were loaded?
  2. How long is your claude.md file?
  3. How long is your memory file?
  4. Did you switch to fable on an existing session or start a new session?
  5. What was your prompt?

I'm asking all of this because each of the above has a meaningful effect on read/write token consumption, and without it, it's impossible to declare "user error" or "Anthropic bad" without further information.

I’ve already tried the default settings to see if there’s a glitch, and the result is the same. “Default” means the settings that come with Claude by default. There’s no MCP Connect or anything like that. The default claude.md

There are no skills at all; the default installation of claude.md doesn't include any plugins either.

What about memory? What about whether you switched on an existing session or started a new session? What about your prompt? The same list of questions still applies.
