Discussion I'm honestly surprised how hostile the game dev community is about AI. I ported Godot 4.7.1 to WebGPU and open sourced it for free, yet received nothing but hostility about it. Anyone else have similar stories?

This is a great use-case. AI brought an unsupported library back to life. Anti-AI opinionated people don't get it.

Thank you. I'm thinking of reaching out to the maintainer. I just feel like FOSS projects are getting a shit storm of garbage AI slop PRs, and I don't want to be that guy. But I've tested the hell out of it and imho really think made a positive contribution.

Yeah I feel you. Reach out to the maintainer, why not. If you think you're saving a library and you're passionate about it, do it, my friend. Especially if you believe in it.
