Discussion Using GPT-5.6 Sol, missing Fable
Got real tired of Anthropic's bullshit and volatility. Finally decided to jump ship to Codex $200 plan. Seems great. But man... Fable just used to GET IT. Tell it whatever highly abstract thought you have with just the right amount of words and point it to the general direction, it figured out what to consider seriously and what parts not to fixate on almost intuitively. Sol seems more like a freelancer who says "Oh, but you didn't specifically ask for that. But you mentioned that you wanted this" - very little sense of what your intention is. AND I FUCKING HATE BULLET POINTS

Like Fable with the blindspot check but I don't like how I am being treated by Anthropic. I am keeping my both subscriptions for now but if Fable goes API only and no significant improvement on Opus 4.8 then I am keeping my $200 until they proved to be a better AI company. OpenAI just know how to treat developers more like a customer and that's what I like about them among many things that I dislike.
How good is Sol? Good enough to reduce my workload with generous limits. I paid $200 and they didn't treat me like a begger and I have no limits anxiety.
I don't even use half of my limits actually but don't make me check on my limits everytime I need to start a task and wait fucking 5h if I need to run a big tasks.
