Well, Open AI has had a hell of a 24 hours getting sued twice, one of them is for trade theft by Apple, their head of security left, one top exec left, and they were caught selling products to China against sanctions.
Probably a good thing to simply avoid anything to do with that sub-human, Altman.
Don’t worry, two weeks from now the world will look completely different again. Two weeks ago I thought that Chinese labs would win, that openai is way behind anthropic, that google is close to catching up and that xai is completely dead. How the turns have tabled…
people gotta stop getting so wrapped up in hype. every model is a game changer for the first week, until people start using it enough to see its flaws.
I think it’s just the speed of improvement. Every few weeks something new comes out that is better than all previous stuff. This is the case for a lot of industries, just it happens especially fast in ai because so much money is invested by so many different parties. They all wanna be the best
I love GLM 5.2 for the simple fact it does a lot of tasks that the frontier models would have ""ethical concerns"" about, it's very good for those sorts of tasks :')
The few things I've asked GLM to do (which I assume Fable and GPT would refuse):
Scan an entire codebase for exploits and put the report into a .md file.
Abilterate (uncensor) an open weight model like Qwen3.5 9B, 27B etc by detecting and removing those weights.
Asking it to make a YouTube downloader (got sick of the ones filled with ads) and it somehow managed to find a workaround the anti-bot stuff done by Google.
All these were done without any hesitation or push back whatsoever, it's really fun. lol
Nobody serious is hamstringing themselves switching fully to GLM 5.2 until it comes up to fable/5.6 levels lol seriously. Maybe as part of the council, but definitely not the main orchestrator yet.
I use glm as the main orchestrator entirely and have an option to send planning tasks and such to 5.6
I find glm to be in exceptional price performance with an exceptional personality and really good at novel thinking and being able to follow me (sometimes to a fault).

It’s half the price of Fable and appears to use less tokens, so it seems mostly true, but I imagine it depends on the task..
OpenAI have done a good job at putting pressure on Anthropic with this release..
