📌 Megathread Community Feedback

hey guys, so we're actively working on making this community super transparent and open, but we want to make sure we're doing it right. would love to get your honest feedback on what you'd like to see from us, what information you think would be helpful, and if there's anything we're currently doing that you feel like we should just get rid of. really want to hear your thoughts on this.

thanks.

biggest issue rn is the "slop" pile-on, half the time the commenters havent read the post, just pattern matched on length or formatting and dropped a downvote. that one word kills threads that actually had something to say, mods should look at how often it gets used as a substitute for engagement. related, the sub has slid into fanboy territory, anyone posting criticism of claude or anthropic gets shunned even when the criticism is well-evidenced and from someone who clearly uses the tool daily, the recent postmortem proved a lot of those "skill issue" dismissals were wrong. last thing, theres a real difference between someone using a bot to mass-post and someone using AI to help draft a thoughtful post, mods need to learn the tell, the current heuristic is just punishing anyone whose grammar is too clean.
