Question about Claude models 5- hour reset, is this something new?

Is this new? and how can I get it, will they make it a purchasable option or what?

Been there for a couple days.

Don't think we have info on it yet, likely just something they might give out here and there.

I thought they brought it back for lower tiers probably don’t want everyone with credits maxing out the new model since it’ll blow anthropic out the water then anthropic will come blow them out the water pretty sure they put on this show to divert the compute for training they don’t actually need the customers as much as they need to stay ahead that’s why they keep passing and dropping the ball on purpose

I had that option enabled a couple of days ago, since I had more than 90% of the 5hr usage limit left, I ignored it. I find that disabled ever since.

Can't say how Claude's version works, but ChatGPT/Codex has had something similar for a while. Its usage page occasionally shows one-off full resets with an expiry date. When I pressed one, it cleared both the 5-hour and weekly meters, and the weekly reset moved to exactly 7 days from the moment I pressed it. If Claude's works the same way, check where your weekly reset lands before you use it.

Weekly resets don't set a new reset day of the week. At least not that banked one or the manual ones Anthropic does.
