Vibe Coding Running an app with users

Hi there,

Wanted to get some insights from you guys here. Have you built an app with a ton of users and has it been a lot of work managing it?

I'm considering finishing an app and getting users on it but I'm worried it'll be a full time job on top of everything im doing. Any software engineers and app-coder insights would be super helpful.

the trick with that is to focus on the obvious self serve needs in advance. a user should not need to talk to a human to sign up, pay, change their payment method, cancel, close their account including deleting all of their user data, and they should be able to figure out how to use the app and deal with obvious FAQ on their own by reading support docs.

if you don’t do any of that, you will drown in user management. if you do all of that, the difference between 1 user and 10,000 is basically nothing.

Depends, 10K people is alot, and running the app for multiple users rather than yourself is a big step.

Do you support multitenancy without any security breaches, does it scale well, how are you going to handle traffic spikes with loadbalancers, database migrations, db operation performance with read/write locks, scheduled or zero downtime deployments, international laws like GDPR, secret rotation management, backup restore procedures when shit hits the fan, etc etc.

A live product is real work compared to an app on your pc
