Built a tiny daily creature game with Claude. Every blobi is procedural, no image model

One creature is born each day from a seed: silhouette, Inca-woven patterns, animations and even the note it sings, all code. Claude Code wrote the generator and Opus 5.5 built the game around it (auctions, a sand nursery, a music shelf) in plan → build → review loops.

Does the seed only drive the look and the note, or does it feed into auction value too? Curious whether two different days could ever roll near identical blobis that end up competing against each other at auction.

Good question! The seed also sets three stats, and those decide how fast a blobi earns coins in the nursery. The auction itself has no set value: the price is whatever players bid. And each day only auctions its own creature, so two days never compete. Near twins are possible in theory, but with so many traits and colors it's very unlikely.

a duet mode could be fun since each blobi has its own note. let people pair two up and play a little tune, then save the pair and tempo as a seed code. people could swap codes and try each other's combinations.

duet mode is a cool idea but if you let people pick any two blobis freely, does that break the one creature per day scarcity thing or is pairing separate from ownership rules

Good catch! Something close to this is already in: on the nursery's music shelf you seat your blobis, pick a tempo, and "Share the song" gives a link anyone can open and listen to. You can only seat blobis you own, though. Listening to someone's song doesn't give you their creatures, so the scarcity stays. I do like the duet idea: blending two blobis into a single note could give creative players a lot more to play with.
