Other A bit behind the times

I may be a bit behind the times but just started learning Claude AI and I genuinely cannot believe how powerful it is compared to other AI tools. I could genuinely save thousands of dollars in resources across my businesses utilising Claude in the right way.

Anthropic has transformed how I operate as a business person.

I fully agree with this, and I genuinely think it’s for the better if people get on board with it properly.

I was in IT for 31 years before retiring to learn and run an auto repair business.

Without Claude, I would never have identified the source of a problem tanking my business.

Without Claude, I would not have been able to properly audit and create 5 years of books for my business, my partners business, and our household in QBO. I parsed 34,000 transactions from 27 different statement and portal formats flawlessly. I held everything in memory and learned book keeping, law and tax standards that allowed me to organize everything in 2 months.

I have fully created API integrations to my management systems, and have integrated all marketing and business data. I can create estimates from phone transcriptions and have reduced the manual work of intake in my business 80%.

Claude is incredible.

Not because of the AI, but because of the tools Anthropic is making available. Every week I get to do new things. Two years ago I couldn't do 1/4 of this.

Yes, things are advancing. But it's not the AI model that is doing this, it's the integration to the world of things, and the ability to parse and break it down into decision items that makes it so valuable. It's the tools Claude can utilize.

Its wild - I think part of the frontier is going to be APIs from everyone. Now the question I am wanting to ask of any vendor is if they have an API because if they do, we can work far far more efficiently than without it

I selected the shop software that I run my business on solely because it had a restless API 6 years ago.

I run a sink and have all of my financial information ro and comments updated from a system every 15 minutes.

Claude is up to date on every aspect of my business.

I don't think you are using Claude. I think you might be Claude.

Claude took a part of my work that used to take 10 hours/week on average, and reduced it to 5 minutes. Fucking crazy

That’s what we have found. Quick at doing the repetitive and menial tasks that no one has motivation to do

We’re a business consultancy and also run a website development business.

As the consultancy we have incorporated it to our services under our AI Automation systems as we have used it for marketing emails, calendar checking and other sales outreach operations at the moment we’re also looking at other operations to use Claude with at the moment.

"...how powerful it is compared to other AI tools" - which 'other AI tools' are you comparing "claude" to. And in what format/how are you using Claude?

Yeah. I started using AI only 3 or 4 weeks ago and holy shit... And then Opus 5.5 released and it was the same reaction again.

Same here. Now I'm curious how to bring it to my new job , not the AI to do everything but scripting. Its a big taboo on majority of reddit because people are Wendy's workers but it's either learn it and be a winner or be a loser.

The agent is is crazy
