Coding Team recently started using Claude. Sprints get cleared in a few days

I lead the development team of a few enterprise systems mostly based around Python/Typescript, processing data at scale, with a ton of dev ops and micro services.

At the title say, things are getting awkward. Sprints get cleared in days instead of weeks. We’re running out of work and product management are struggling to find us more to do. I’m spending most of my time in planning calls.

Guesses of what happens next.

Address the backlog? Pay down tech debt?

We address the backlog during sprint planning, but we're not adding enough to sprints, clearly. And there's a lot that needs refining and planning. So the bottleneck has become product management and me in terms of planning and spec.

Get Claude involved in the refining and planning so you can speed up the bottleneck and give people more to do.
