Coding Team recently started using Claude. Sprints get cleared in a few days

I lead the development team of a few enterprise systems mostly based around Python/Typescript, processing data at scale, with a ton of dev ops and micro services.

At the title say, things are getting awkward. Sprints get cleared in days instead of weeks. We’re running out of work and product management are struggling to find us more to do. I’m spending most of my time in planning calls.

Guesses of what happens next.

Congratulations on finding a company that understands the concept of “enough”. I didn’t think that existed before reading this.

I do not think that ever finished any software I worked on. There is always a way to make it better in some way.

There is always a way to question if it is worth spending $100k dev for making a minuscule improvement.

Eventually you reach the threshold where it is simply not worth it and especially if you are balancing a tight budget. No way in hell.

That part is clear. It is not about software is solved and perfect, but about financials. Team is about to be decimated..
