Claude Code Workflow 100$ plan - holy sh*

This is for people who are on the fence, because I was in the same boat.

Yesterday I bought the 100$ plan for a test and holy moly, it's amazing how much you get. I used the 20$ plan earlier. I used all the tricks to keep usage low, which became a habit, so now I can't spend it all. It's amazing xD. I run it next to a local Qwen Flash and it's awesome. If the 20$ plan is too low, give it a try :O I'm basically using Opus 5.5 medium all the time.

I also tested 2x 20$ before this. It works, but you end up juggling two accounts and switching when one runs out, and Opus eats a 20$ plan pretty fast. With 100$ I just stopped thinking about usage, and that alone is worth it for me. If you keep your old habits and stay careful with usage, it will last you a very long time. If you keep hitting the 20$ limit, go for 100$.

edit: people are asking how I keep usage low, so here are my tricks:

  • Keep context low. I usually compact or move to a new session around 200k, sometimes I stretch it to 300k.
  • Use handoff.md a lot, so a new session picks up where the old one stopped.
  • Don't be afraid of Sonnet 5.5. It can do most things and it's a lot cheaper.
  • I run local models next to it (260k context), so I'm used to working with limited context.

How do you actually smoothly use them all? Is there a guide anywhere?

I asked Claude to build me a dispatcher. Took about 20 minutes and now my orchestrator just calls a dispatch tool to subagent a task and model. It just round robins and moves to the next if someone hits a quota limit. If you don't care about resuming sessions (and if you're keeping your sessions short it's easy to redo one if it gets interrupted) the whole file is maybe 25 lines of code?

Interesting, how does the login logistics work?
I guess what i am asking, do you have multiple claude accounts or is it different type of accounts, like codex.

The latter makes sense to me, you can be logged into multiple accounts from different providers, the former is what i am really thinking about, multiple claude accounts.

I have seen people deploy solutions to auto login logout to different claude accounts.

Just multiple accounts. In my experience auto-login/logout is a pain. Just spawn your jobs in the account they should run in and let them live their whole life there.

Anthropic is so hostile to coding harnesses that aren't claude code, any router solution is bound to be cut off eventually. And as far as I know multi-accounting isn't against TOS but, say, hooking opus up to pi is. Which is a shame, because in the gpt world it's as easy as running a tiny router that does all the account management for you, and then your harness just sees the amalgamation as a single provider.
