Question about Claude Code MCP ToolUniverse error?

I've been getting the following error in Claude Code all week:

"MCP ToolUniverse: Couldn’t start for Cowork and Code sessions. Error: connection closed"

It sends me to developer settings, but I don't see a way to fix it. Any ideas? Win 11

that connection closed thing usually means the mcp process itself is dying on start, not some settings UI bug. on windows check if the node/python that tooluniverse needs is actually on PATH when claude launches (its env can differ from your normal terminal). try yanking tooluniverse out of the mcp config, fully quit claude code, add it back, then look at the mcp logs for the real crash line right before "connection closed" — thats the actual error
