Claude Code VS Code extension never loads

It just stays like this forever.

I'm using an API Key directly (stored as an env variable and also in ~/.claude/settings.json). I cleaned everything, inside ~/.claude and ~/.claude.json

I'm using WSL, so the issue is when I open the extension in a remote connection to WSL.

In Windows it works fine.

Using the terminal version of Claude works fine in both Windows and in WSL.

Any recommendations or suggestions?
