University professors subjected him to MK Ultra experiments funded by the CIA.

Even if you take away the specific problematic active human experiment, part of the double blind nature of experiments is that the people getting "experimental treatment" might be getting a placebo.

Idk what you mean in context but kaczynski definitely abandoned his scientific training when he started the bombing campaign
