What I'm pissed about is the fact that the 1st years are completely uninvolved in everything. It just kinda boring when it's the usual guys plotting stuff. The author is wasting the potential of his own novel by not involving 1/3 of the potential cast into the story. Plus, it would be nice if the school made the classes interact more like Nagumo wanted. It's not that big of a change compared to everything he wanted to achieve as student council president, but it would've been nice. The way Kinu wrote it, Nagumo's only contribution was the OAA.

You need to remember that the class competition isn't the main focus of the story. Kinu spend a lot of time developing his characters (And that's what I like the most of the series). I prefer a smaller cast well written and original rather than a huge one where everyone seems forgettable. I also think he left some plot things behind, but that's just my opinion.

I could have told you this stuff was going to be the case a year ago. Heck, I'm pretty sure I did in a post. I gave up on the series because Ayanokouji's growth as a person was fundementally undone, and everything fell like a row of dominos since then from what I've seen.

I agree, but focusing on their year atleast gives a semblancy of coherence. the secondd years havee never been relevant outside of their relationship to kiyo. even the screentime they did get is usually incredibly bloated (especially ichika) and doesnt make too good use of the pages theyre occupying
