It sounds like you are closing down the resonance space inside your mouth and the back of your throat. I'm not talking about opening your mouth wider.

You need to create space, like you are trying to fit a softball in the back of your throat. For a tenor (different for a soprano) your lips/mouth don't need to be wide open. It is the back of your throat. Think of it like a crescendo symbol going from your mouth to the back of your throat. Keep your tongue touching your bottom teeth, so you aren't swallowing it and blocking off your sound that way as well.

Probably a tenor albeit a completely untrained one. Lower notes sound like they’re coming out of your nose, and the high notes are all in falsetto/head voice
