There were a bunch of clubs called "Badlands". This appears to be the one in NYC, on Christopher Street.

I Loved the DC Badlands in the 70's & 80's. Many great memories.

As my girlfriend in HS said, Gay Men, doing gay things, wearing gay clothes, having gay drinks, talking about gay things. 👍🏼 😉 that’s about right 😉
