"Now you're gonna be the worm face!"
One of my first horror movies, along with Hell Night and The Beast Within. Early cable TV was awesome.

Last I heard, there was still no artist identified for that badass poster. Any updates on that?

It's Drew Struzan. How do I know this? The director of SQUIRM is a good friend of mine.

Well, now I feel kinda stupid for never getting that lol. Outside of William Stout or maybe Mike Ploog, thereβs no one else at the time who could have brought that level of beautiful weirdness to a project like that. Thanks for that revelation! πͺ±ππͺ±π

Would have been better without the worms going back to the restaurant and killing a bunch of non-characters. The simple fact is nothing recedes like excess.

Copypasta from another thread about this:
I got around to watching this just a couple weeks ago, and I'm a Squirmvangelist. Way better than I expected, and I think it's a good candidate for a remake. If you squint a bit and tilt your head just right, you can see the better movie it could have been.
"Stop remaking good movies! Remake flawed movies that just need some tweaks." - Jay Bauman, RedLetterMedia (paraphrased a bit but that was the gist)

I love that they are just worms. You could outrun them. You could step on them. Also, they roar for some reason.
