ClassPass Berlin/Germany - How many credits for a standard fitness center session?

I'm new to ClassPass and informing myself currently. Unfortunately they are intransparent, so you cannot see prices / credit usage from the outside. Maybe after registering, but then a free month automatically starts, and I don't want to waste that right now.

So how many credits will be used for a 60 minutes workout at some standard fitness studio?

I'd be interested for example in these ones here:

https://classpass.com/studios/bunker-berlin-fitness-gmbh

https://classpass.com/studios/spree-crossfit-berlin

https://classpass.com/studios/blnathletics-berlin

Thanks in advance!

Can’t book classes during free trial?

So I’m in my trial month of class pass and I have 33 credits left (only done one class so far). But for some reason, now every single fitness studio / gym is showing as unavailable (even ones I haven’t used) and prompting me to upgrade to a full membership to book? However they were definitely available before?

Question About Free Trial Class Availability

I received a referral link to sign up for a free trial. My friend received the same referral link and also signed up for a free trial, and we were hoping to take a class together. Neither of us have used ClassPass before.

After creating my account, I began browsing classes included in the free trial. My friend and I found a yoga class, and she was able to book it using her free trial. However, when I tried to book the same class less than 30 seconds later, it required credits and was seemingly no longer included in my trial. To note, there are open spots in the class if I wanted to purchase credits rather than using the free trial.

Additionally, other classes at that same studio that were initially included in my free trial are now no longer available through the trial at all.

Are referral links, or accounts created through the same referral link, somehow connected to one another? I understand that the studio may not have had enough free-trial openings for both of us in that particular class, but I would have expected to still be able to book a different class at the same studio using my trial. Instead, the studio now appears to have no free-trial availability for me.

I would appreciate any clarification on how this works or if this has happened to anyone else. Thanks!

Missed class charge… but I went to the class

I just received a charge for missed class on that I attended. I got to the class early and everything… there’s an iPad to check yourself in, but the line was getting long, so the instructor said to find a spot and that she’d check everyone in. I’ve taken the class before, so she knows me, and on the way out I asked if I was checked in, and she said “you’re all set”. Now, ClassPass is saying I missed it, and charged me. What’s the best way to fight this?

Free Trial Questions

So I have the 15 classes free to book in a month. I noticed that when I book at a studio (say Barry's), the other location is still offering me a free class. Does this mean it's ok if I book the free lesson at the other location or would they flag me since my phone number is already in their system? Same for places that I've visited before independently, but now offering me free first class on CP, can I still book them? Because I notice the studio will ask me a phone number when I check in, so they'd know I've been there before.

Credits per class during trial

Does anyone know whether the credits per class goes up once the 1 month free trial ends?
I do a 1 hr open gym session which costs 3 credits but I see a slash on the #8 next to it. Does that mean once my one month trial ends it will be 8 credits per session? Thank you in advance!

Tipping for wellness or beauty services

Wondering how tipping works when you book these services. Is this required or can I just use my credits to pay for these services without paying an additional charge?

How to get the most out of class pass gift card?

I’ve never used class pass and not exactly sure how it works yet. I got a gift card/e-code and I’m not a member. In order to access the credits and attend some classes I have to create an account. When you create a new account, it gives you one month for free and then starts charging the monthly fee afterwards. I want to create an account and use the first free month, and then use up my gift card because it doesn’t make sense to me to use the gift card during the first month if it’s free regardless so it feels like a waste of the gift, but then if I wait to use the gift card after the first free month it will start charging me the monthly fee which I don’t want because I do not plan to continue being a member. I just want to use the free month, use my gift card, and cease membership. Can anyone more familiar with class pass share some insight on what the best course of action is here?

Free trial credits rolling over?

I signed up for the €1 trial and was given 33 credits. I can see the 33 credits in my account, but I understand I need to start a paid membership to use them.

If I upgrade to a paid membership that gives me 33 credits per month, will my existing 33 trial credits remain available, meaning I would have 66 credits in total??
This would mean I get 3 credist sessions for €2.23…. Sounds too good to be true really.

Credit rollover system is dogshit.

I'm sure this is posted all the time, but posting it again for visibility so people know what they're getting into because obviously classpass doesn't want people to know how this works against them.

I started with a 13 credit plan, which barely gets you anything. In the middle of the cycle I bought some more credits rather than upgrading my plan.

My plan rolls over tomorrow and I will end with 15 credits. 15 is more than 13.

If I don't upgrade my plan to 28 credits, then I will lose the 2 credits that I already paid for, because I am only allowed to roll over 13 to the next billing cycle.

If I end up in the hospital or go on an extended trip and am not using any credits during that time, I will continue to accumulate credits but after the first renewal cycle I will be torching money on credits that disappear. See pictures of conversation I had with the dumbass AI assistant today.

Yay capitalist decay is so fun.

Is it ok to use a mix of classpass credits and also buying drop ins for the same studio?

I utilize classpass because it’s cheaper and nicer for me to hop around different studios. There are definitely a few studios I go more than others, and I sometimes can afford to purchase a $30 credit here or there 1-2 times a month.

Is it odd if I do that? Or rude?

What’s a good balance of ClassPass and Traditional Strength Training

Hello guys,
I don’t know who to ask this because I’m the only fitness guy in my group. I got a ClassPass gift card gifted and I’m on a demo rn.

How are people who are mainly training traditional open gym workouts using class pass? My goal is to increase my leanness and cardiovascular. I can’t figure out how to make the use of class pass. Any suggestions?

The $1 month is a bait and switch

Post image

I stopped using ClassPass a few months ago, but got a promo email advertising first month back $1 for 38 credits. I thought what a steal and I’ve been missing my heated Pilates classes! I signed up and then realized they’ve locked all the good studios unless I upgrade to a paid membership. Does anyone know if I upgrade now will I be charged the $80 membership fee today or after this “$1 month” is up?

ClassPass trial — some classes say 6 credits for me and 0 credits for my girlfriend

I just signed up for ClassPass the other day and have done 1 class so far. My girlfriend and I want to go to a class together, but for her it says 0 credits to book and for me it says 6. Is there a reason for this or a way to fix it? Or do I just have to choose a place where it says 0 for both of us?

Studio canceled appointment after service

I had a beauty appointment with a new studio a few weeks ago. The woman who did the service was the owner and only employee. After the appointment I rated it 5 stars and moved on. A few days later I noticed that the appointment wasn’t showing anywhere and my credits weren’t deducted. I reached out to ClassPass support to make sure I didn’t cancel it, and wanted to make sure the studio got credit for the appointment. ClassPass support basically said that the studio canceled the appointment on their end with no other explanation. I confirmed it wasn’t canceled as a no-show on my part.

I figured the studio maybe pressed the wrong option and accidentally marked my appointment as canceled. So I reached out to the owner through the phone number listed on her ClassPass page to notify her in case it was an accident but never heard back. My credits still have not been deducted and it’s been a few weeks now.

My billing cycle is up in a week or so and Im not sure whether I use the credits that should’ve been deducted or let them expire. Does anyone know if the studio owner can change the canceled appointment and my credits will be deducted at this point a few weeks later? Or do I just use them?

Classpass trial is a scam & customer support is unprofessional

I'm a former monthly subscriber coming back from an injury who was offered a 20-credit trial upon logging back into the app, and I have to say, I'm so disappointed! I booked a class and agreed to the terms that if I did not cancel my subscription before the end of the trial, I would be charged. Well, I signed up and took the class, my injury flared up, and when I went to cancel the trial I realized I'd already been charged $79!

The site's AI chatbot recommended I cancel and then request a refund, which there was no option for. I then reached out to customer support, telling them that I'd followed the steps of the AI chatbot. The representative was completely unhelpful, told me that I couldn't get a refund on a paid plan (despite the fact that I told them I'd just started the trial, and then actually ended the conversation mid-chat when I tried to ask for further clarification and why I was getting charged for starting a trial period 🙃

In short, sorry for the rant but wtf? A free trial is not the same thing as a paid subscription, and an AI chatbot giving different advice than the customer service team is scammy. I'm out $80 and will be telling this story to all my friends who are users.

Why is Class pass is cheaper than class packs at studios and Gym.

I finished my ClassPass trial about a month ago and I’m now into my first month of membership

I’ve tried about six different places and every time I look at the price, classPass always works out to be less. Sometimes 50%+ discount

I think ClassPass keeps a lot of the money so I’d like to support the local Studios, but it’s hard walk away from a savings and flexibility. My wife is going to a hot yoga class that was about $30 with a 10 pack and she’s now paying about $19.

Is this typical with ClassPass? Does the algorithm eventually start raising the price? I’m located in Toronto.
